1992 Monterey 225 SCR Cuddy

"Reel Fast" is exactly that; powered by a single screw I/O GM 350 capable of 40 knots flat out,

She cruises nicely @ 28- 30 knots, reasonable on fuel and 

stored under cover most of its life, It has new speed coat bottom paint. (To strip the old bottom off and repaint it with speed coat and replace the pin stripping cost another $5000)

Powered by a basically completely overhauled LOW hour GM-350 with new: starter, alternator, fuel pump, carburetor, distributor, spark plugs and wires. New hoses, and belts, aluminum intake manifold and aluminum exhaust manifolds and risers.  They are Kodiak, dry joint, that can not leak into the engine. The oil filter and oil drain are set up to be as painless as possible with no mess. The manifolds and the hull drain are not plugs, but SS ball valves. No tools needed. The SS kicker bracket would cost $1000 to replace. The Kicker Is $5500 and the Wireless steering system is $2000 installed.

The wiring and fuel system has all been redone. New battery, new AC charger, new windshield wiper & motor, new horn and compass. 

• I am told by the former owner that it has a new long block in it, with only 20 hrs on it when I got it. The compression was that of a new engine when I installed the new plugs, so I had no reason to doubt him. It had 550hrs on the meter when I got it and now a little over 600hrs. I left the hour meter original, as that is the total time on the boat.

It has a new interior with all new seats on lockable storage boxes. The carpet(s) replaced and refinished. 

Everything works: All new electronics. 

Simrad GO9 plotter GPS, side scan sonar, 36-mile radar.  Custom radar mount, It looks like it's floating on a soft top. It also has fuel management, on a 40 USG tank. The tank has a new fuel sender with no signs of corrosion inside or out. The new electric fuel pump makes it start like it is fuel injected no matter how long it has not been used. The leg oil has been changed to synthetic for better fuel economy. The bilge pump and engine blower have also been replaced. It has a 2-speed bus heater for heat from the main engine and a nice big forward cabin. Lots of storage, and even, a lockable rod locker.

The kicker is a new 15 hp Merc with an extra long shaft that is electric start with power tilt, wireless steering, with Less than 20 hrs. The Kicker steering has a 1-year warranty, as the seller manufactures them.

It has a new helm steering wheel with anti feedback control so you can let go for a second at slower speeds. 

It comes with around $10,000 worth of spare parts: a spare leg, lift/ trim cylinders, exhaust and control boots for the leg, as well as control cables, and spare props for both engines. 

It is on a new aluminum Tuff Trailer. It has all aluminum guide bars for launching and retrieve single handed.  I also upgraded the winch and trailer LED lights. There is a plank on the tongue to move to the dock side you’re launching from. The trailer alone with all its extras is worth another $15,000. 

Boat and trailer weigh 6000lbs.  Boat alone is just shy of 4000lbs. 

• Included is all the safety gear, lifejackets, fire extinguisher, paddle, dock lines & fenders, anchor and rode.Everything you need to go boating. You don’t need to buy anything extra. It even has a $300 full tank of fuel.

Seller comments: I rebuilt it with the latest and best equipment available. It even comes with 2 Canon Tournament downriggers that follow the bottom, the leg has just been serviced June 2024, lubed the universals and shift mechanism . It is set up for easy, single hand launching and retrieving, No need to go out on the fore deck. I just spent $4000 on all new isinglass windows in the canvas and sun block curtains to keep it a lot cooler. It also has vent fans on a temperature rise thermostat that automatically turns the fans on. 

It is insured for $35,000, before we did a bunch of upgrades. (Survey on file)
